Annie's Macaroni and Cheese

Went to the supermarket with my husband and 15 year old daughter in tow.

we found the pasta isle and at first it was difficult to find the specific product, "Annie's Macaroni And Cheese".

Finally we spotted it on the 2nd to bottom shelf. There were only 2 boxes there so I grabbed one of them.

I was pleased to see on the box that it was gluten free because I seem to feel better when I eat gluten free products. We got a few other items from the shop that we needed while we were there and then went to pay in line.

The cashier noticed my husband snapping photos of the box of Macaroni and Cheese and said she hated to be photographed. You will see her in the pictures at the cash register.

We made another stop on the way home (which took way longer then we would have liked!) and then drove home. By the time we had arrived at home, we were all very hungry so I started to make the macaroni and cheese immediately. I first started by boiling water and allowing it to start boiling before adding the noodles.

I set the timer and allowed the noodles to boil.

While they were boiling I mixed together the cheese powder with the milk (I used rice milk because we all prefer it to cow's milk).

After the timer went off for the noodles I drained the noodles in the sink and the put them back into the pot.

I added the cheese mixture and it was ready to eat.

By this time we were all extremely hungry because we had not anticipated that our trip into town would take as long as it had and none of us had had anything to eat since early in the morning. It was 7PM Mountain time by the time I served up the food.

My husband set up the camera to take timed photos of us as we were eating so all three of us could be in the pictures.

My 15 year old daughter commented that it tasted really good, except she would have liked for us to mix something like chicken or salmon into it "Like we usually do".

Let me explain: when we eat macaroni and cheese we always put either chicken or salmon in with it as well as veggies to add to the nutritional value of the meal.

My husband liked the product but said he thought he would have liked larger noodles. Personally, I prefer small noodles like the ones that were in this product.
